About Angela Fresne
As a coach and a trainer, I draw on 30 years of personal and professional experience as well as a deep focus on learning to use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and stress management techniques. Here’s what you need to know.
My career focus has always been on providing value, continuous learning and career progression while maintaining work/life balance. I reinvented myself again and again. From secretary to marketing executive at IBM. From marketing executive to personal development via coaching and training. I believe in hard work, compassion at work, career planning and in making things happen. It takes time and personal investment to pursue a fulfilling career.
I am married (29 years!) with 2 adult children and 2 grandchilden. I know what it is like to strive to be a good wife and mother while trying to maintain a successful career. My drive to maintain work/life balance has been militant. I have had to manage trauma, tragedy and illness in the context of my family life. My commitment to be present for my family is at the heart of who I am.
An American by birth, I have had the privilege of working closely with people and leading teams from over 20 countries, across every geography. I spent 19 years living in France and learning to adapt to the French and European culture. I have dual citizenship (American/French). I have a special relationship with India and the team members I worked with there. I am starting a new journey with China in 2019. I enjoy working with clients from all over the world and strive to integrate my experience with the cultural norms of your culture.
Because of my personal battle with recurring anxiety and depression, I have heavily invested in learning how to improve my quality of life with stress management techniques. I have transformed my life with the tools I acquired. Having worked in a high-pressure environment, I know what it is like to deal with a toxic work environment, boss or colleagues. My focus is on personal responsibility, values, beliefs, life priorities and channeling emotions to work for me instead of against me.
I have 300+ coaching hours as a professional coach. In addition, I have been coaching and mentoring for many years as a manager. I am certified with the World Coach Institute and continue to pursue my education and learning with ICF and other coaching organizations.
